Ramping Up Manufacturing to Shorten Lead Times

Due to the success we’ve had in the past six months in closing a number of important opportunities, our backlog has grown such that our lead times are currently longer than they have ever been in the history of TMI. As it stands, our lead times are at 40+ weeks for a standard project and 30-40 weeks for a smaller oneoff type build (provided we can get equipment on time).

We recognize how this impacts your ability to close future work, so it is now our responsibility to rectify this problem. We have undertaken aggressive efforts to revamp our production capabilities which include hiring additional labor resources, LEAN initiatives, Kaizen events to streamline our operations, as well as pursuing additional manufacturing machinery that will not only allow us to build units quicker, but more cost effectively as well. This in turn will allow us not only to improve on lead times, but also allow us to be even more competitive when going out to bid by lowering the costs of production.
